British Casualties in Afghanistan - Updates for February 2008

Updates of casualty data for February 2008 have now been published for the casualty monitor projects for British forces in Afghanistan. The trend in combat casualties has remained steady for the last 3 months, with levels at about double that recorded in Iraq.

However, reports of the British bombing targets in Basra today and increasing diplomatic pressure for British troops to fight along side their allies on the ground, means that the situation in Iraq is becoming increasingly unpredictable for UK forces.
