The claim by MOD that release of inaccurate figures for casualties is not in the public interest is - perhaps -reasonable. However Susie Myatt gives no indication as to how long the checking process might take - weeks, months, years, decades etc?

So we presumably have to wait until MOD decides for itself that a) it has 'accurate' figures and b) it is in the interests of the public to issue such information.

Quite apart from this being farcical it is also plainly wrong that Civil Servants should fail to even provide clear timescales for their own chosen actions.

Myatt should tell us by when she can provide (note 'provide' not 'expect to provide') those details. If she is unable so to do, she clearly is not up to the job and should be relieved of her post forthwith.
